The Collaborative School Committee (CSC)

The purpose of the Steele Collaborative School Committee (CSC) is to advance student achievement and the school climate. The primary responsibility of the CSC is to develop and monitor implementation of the School Improvement Plan. Members of the CSC serve for 2-year terms and include the Principal (permanent member), teachers, parents and a community member. The CSC meets in the Library on the first and third Tuesdays of each month during the school year. Parents and staff are welcome to attend any meeting. Please call Dijana if you would like to arrange childcare.

CSC Update

The CSC held its last meeting for this school year on Tuesday, May 20th.  We approved a new handbook that will be available online in the fall.  In addition, we approved  a report on the constituency meetings and Steele’s space needs that Mr. Raisch will present to the Superintendent before the end of the school year.  To see a copy of the report (without addenda), click here.  A full copy of the report is available in the office, but we ask that you not take it with you as we have limited copies.

 

Beth Hasse will chair the CSC next year.  The CSC will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 3:30-5:00  pm.  Please note the earlier meeting time.  We did hear the parents that asked that the CSC reconsider its meeting times.  As there are staff members of the CSC, not all of whom live near Steele, evening meetings did not seem feasible.  The CSC will endeavor to report on its decisions and activities in as timely a manner as possible.
